Join us on Thursday, August 15th to hear from Tom Petersen, RHU, FLMI, DIA, Senior Partner at Petersen International Underwriters. 

Traditional disability carriers do a great job with the vast majority of insured. However, there are some situations which special markets need to be accessed to fill in the coverage gaps. We will first give a brief history on the oldest insurance market in the world, Lloyd’s of London, then follow through with information on how to access this market to add coverage for these unique situations ranging from excess coverages, to often declined cases from the standard markets.

Petersen International Underwriters is the oldest and largest Lloyd’s Coverholder in the world specializing in Disability insurance programs. A Founding member of IDIS and a recipient of the W. Harold Petersen Lifetime Achievement award, Tom works with regulators and legislators around the country, as well as producers, teaching about special risk disability insurance and how it integrates with the standard disability markets.
