OUR FEATURED SPEAKERS

Sheriff J.B. Smith was continuously elected Sheriff of Smith County Texas from 1976-2012. He managed a department of 355 personnel and supervised over 1,000 prisoners. Currently he travels the country entertaining and motivating audiences with his unique stories and experiences.  Besides being a former sheriff and being a national speaker, he is a licensed Texas auctioneer and a connoisseur of Texas chili. He has appeared on NBC Dateline, ABC Prime-Time Live, the CBS Morning Show and the NBC Today Show. He has shared the speaker’s platform with personalities such as Zig Ziglar and other nationally known professional speakers.  He has appeared twice on stage at the Nugget in Reno, Nevada and preformed at Diamond Jack’s Casino in Bossier City, Louisiana.  He published his first True Crime book entitled The Christmas Day Murders. His second book The Unholy Ghost Murder, became available in April 2010.  The Sheriff’s philosophy is “Blessed are they who laugh at themselves for they shall never cease to be amused.”  He is looking forward to welcoming you to Texas. Scott Rider is the national spokesperson for "Disability Insurance Awareness Month" and has quite a story to tell.  A former financial advisor, Scott was diagnosed with Parkinson’s at just 47. Thankfully, Scott had the safety net of disability insurance, which allowed his family to maintain the lifestyle they’ve always known.  Rider says he has been able maintain a decent quality of life because he bought disability insurance when he was starting out in his career.Because of access to disability benefits, he and his family have been able to maintain their lifestyle,  CLICK HERE to view a short message from Scott.

Bill Acheson uses his knowledge of nonverbal communication – body language – to show professionals how to project themselves with greater impact and interpret subconscious messages sent by others.  Bill’s presentations are a mix of research and professional experience with such organizations as Merrill Lynch, Bayer, Ernst & Young, Lexus, Wells Fargo, GlaxoSmithKline, the US Coast Guard and the National Football League.
